I love photography

Hey Brynn do you wanna go take pictures?

"YEAH! DUH! WhatdoIgettawearthistime?"

It had just quit raining and the sun was sooo bright . . . until I whipped out my camera. Then the clouds came . . . until I put my camera away!

What I'll be doing for the next 4 months

Tax returns are wonderful, aren't they:) I was finally able to get a great camera and I've been practicing a lot. I have to whip out the manual frequently because there are so many things you can do with it. Hopefully by the time the baby gets here I'll know how to take some great shots.

At the baseball game early Saturday morning

His "ba-woc-awers" go everywhere with him.

This is about the time he starts getting mad at me and tells me no more pictures.

Hula Hoopin' Fool

Last weekend Bryson got to earn some money stocking Grandma's woodpile. It was killing him to have a few dollars in his pocket so he spent it. Brynn got to collect the recycling money and pick out her own toy too. She picked the hula hoop. Lucky us.

After spending 4 days NON-stop hoopin' it up, she was ready for the Ward Talent Show Friday night. She did awesome, and was so cute up there. None of this crowd phobia nonsense like someone else I know. She walked right up and did her thing. Around the neck, arm twirls and around the waist. Best one of the night, if I dare say.

Sunday Walk

We took the kids to CP Lake after naps on Sunday. There was
a million momma Geese sitting on their nests. Some
had just hatched. Most of the daddy geese
were "kissing" at the kids whenever they'd
get too close to their lady. Hud thought it was funny.
Another week or two and the place will be crawling
with a whole bunch of little goslings.

I think this one had just hatched her eggs cuz she was still sitting on them. We saw the one baby right behind her and a few other spots of bright yellow underneath her. And the daddy goose was walking around her all nervous. The kids loved seeing all this new life.
This is me, all 22 weeks prego. I'm aware of how big I look but I don't feel it, surprisingly. I still feel really really good and my belly feels small compared with my other pregnancies. Take note that this picture was taken in the evening and my belly seems to double in size from morning to night, and then shrinks back down while I sleep. Weird? I've only been feeling the baby for a couple weeks now but he's definitely getting more active. Oh, and, he's still a HE. I had another ultrasound last week and the tech said "There's really no denying THAT thing right there." So I guess all my feelings really were wrong. I'm hoping that despite his activity he'll be a good baby. And if not, at least I got a really easy pregnancy out of him.

Sneaky girl

I was practicing with exposures on my new camera and had to set it down to take care of Hudson. The two big kids have been dying to get their hands on it. These are some of the 20-something shots Brynn got in 1 min.

I love

We finally closed escrow in mid-March and just recently received a beautiful little check from our home-owners insurance. I was desperate for a dresser since we haven't ever had a nice one. After searching for a week we finally purchased these. I'm so in love. I dreamed about them for 2 nights. Once I sell the armoire and nightstands I'm hoping I can get the matching chest too.

We hadn't been home 10 min and Bryson came and got me to show me something super special he had done in the garage. He was extremely proud of the dot-to-dot artwork he had created by stabbing darts into the front of the box that housed my perfect. brand. new. dresser!!!
I took a deep breath and told him (very calmly) he better go pray the whole thing was encased in thick foam. Lucky for him, it was.
Scenario:
(Tanner)-Help me move this dresser into the bedroom.
(Me) - Can't. Too heavy.
(Tanner)- You're really strong for a girl. Just try.
(Me-after trying) - Still can't. Its REALLY heavy babe.
(Tanner) - You're not even trying. (this goes back and forth for a while, I leave for a meeting and his dad comes to move it with him.)

(Tanner) - Yeah, You couldn't have lifted that.
(Me) - I know. I told you that.
(Tanner) - No, you REALLY couldn't have lifted that. It was a beast.
(Me) - Yes I know. But you made me try anyway and now I have a pinched nerve in my butt that makes my right leg drag. . . Thanks for my new dresser!

Presto Change-O

For the past 2-3 years we've only had 1 dresser to our five peeps. Found this little bute at a garage sale and saw some potential.

Voila!!! I think I might have a new hobby. I got a total high off it
(and by high I mean I forgot to wear a mask and that polyurethane
is some strooooooong stuff, man:) Tanner's worried the
baby might be retarded now.

So this will be for Brynn. . . and we'll throw some baby stuff in there too. . .
and I'll probably make a cute pad for a changing table-ish thing
on top. . . and there will probably be diapers all over her room soon.
