My little Maui Brownie Babe

I may have a few stupid genes that have been passed on to my children (not gonna go into that right now) but one thing this girl better not ever complain about is her skin. We don't always have the best complexion in this family but the rest of our bodies have great skin - soft, relatively hairless, and perfectly capable of getting a great tan.

She's my only one who got this great gene (soooo hoping baby comes out with it too). The boys have my husband's skin. Laaaame! They stay the same shade of pale no matter how much sun they get. I should have taken a pic of them all together so we could compare. Oh well, maybe later.

She switches between the four bathing suits she has, so she's ended up with four different tan lines.

And she's got this halo of bright white hair all around her face. Her beauty marks are real too.

like that dog jumping contest. . . but with kids

Its been hot! So we've been helping ourselves to other people's pool.
Thankfully Tanner's a good sport for all these kids who want to be tossed into the air all day.

This kid just likes to squirt everyone with the hose

And he had Dad swing him around a few times

This girl practices her dives all day. They usually turn into nice tucks with pointed hands and toes

8 WEEKS LEFT!!!!

WooooHooo! Let the countdown begin! I'm due sometime between Aug. 22-24th so that puts me about 2 months away.

The 3rd trimester is back in full force. I'm back to needing a lot more sleep than the last few months. Thank goodness for summer and a family who seems to need as much sleep as me. This week I don't think anyone woke up before 9:30 or 10. Hallelujah!!!

That awesome pregnancy mask I got with Brynn is back with a vengeance. I look like I'm growing a mustache above my lip and I rolled in the dirt and forgot to wash my face. I have to cake on the makeup everyday to tone it down some.

Those spectacular night-time leg cramps are pretty freakin' rad too. Especially when they happen out of nowhere . . . and all. night. loooong.

Sometimes I feel like Ginormica (a.k.a. Susan) and other times I feel pretty small considering. I really don't have any aches and pains except for the occasional pinched nerve. We took the kids for a bike ride the other day and I still felt pretty good. Overall this pregnancy has been a total breeze. I would say its gone by fast but I found out on Christmas day and that seems like a long time ago. July is already packed with activities and then we have to get ready for school the first week in August. After that we wait for baby.

I don't want to jinx myself but I think we will be blessed with a good baby this time. He is usually active for about an hour in the morning and an hour at night. The rest of the day I hardly feel him at all. And it is most definitely NOT because I'm busy. You have to actually do stuff to be busy. I feel him stretching more the last two weeks but I think that's because we grew 3 cm from our last appt. I've seen a bunch of babies around lately and I'm finally getting that wanna-sit-and-hold-a-baby-all-day feeling (which is the exact opposite of how I've felt about babies for the last 3 1/2 years). I was a little worried that I wasn't getting that feeling but its here now. I think we're all ready for this little baby to love.

Open House

Remember how fun Open House always used to be? Showing off your classroom and everything you'd done all year? Well, it hasn't changed. My kids were so excited to have us go to Open House. We were literally almost running to keep up with them. I found out that Brynn's teacher is my friend Kara's (who I went to Blue Oak with) mother-in-law. Small world. I guess my dad also used to sub for her quite a bit when she taught middle school too.

Bryson has this major phobia of doing anything in front of a crowd. He has never gotten up in Sacrament meeting with the other primary kids, hates saying the prayer in church, and pretty much refuses to go if he's supposed to give a talk. So we weren't real sure how his presentation about the Capitol was going to go. Turns out he did really well and even went up to sing in Sacrament Meeting for Father's Day a few days later.

Final Score: Padres Win!!!

This season was so much better than last year. All the boys actually started playing well, hitting, catching and passing to one another. The last two games were awesome and we were sad to see the season end. We are considering Fall Ball unless the games are all on Sundays. B loved playing this year and really improved a lot.

Tanner was a Team Manager again

His teeth are all finally starting to come in, although not super straight :(

He managed to hit at bat every time and never struck out. This year was Coach's pitch instead of T-ball or pitching machine.

Why I love camping!!!

ummm. . . smores! need I say more? (I might suggest you all look for the jumbo shmallows at your local grocery store. They make for a killer, messy smore like no other)

Pik-ur-Own berry patches

We decided we're all really glad we're not farm hands. Its tough work pickin berries in the heat, bending over like that, and those suckers get heavy REAL fast.

We went the first day with the whole fam, then went back again on our way home with just my family. We ended up with 30 lbs. of delicious strawberries!!! Somehow there was only about 20 lbs when we got home:)

These were HEAVEN! I ended up having to freeze about half but they'll make for some yummy fruit roll-ups, smoothies, pancake syrup, and pie filling.

Grandpa rented this golf-cart for a few days and it was the highlight of all the kids' trip. No one went anywhere unless it was on the golf cart. And could you pile a few more kids on there?

Grandpa took these two girls for their first driving lesson

I love that look. I get it all the time.

Never rides his scooter with both feet on the deck, and never ever with his tongue in his mouth

Love the messy hair, wear-whatever-you-want look with slippers. She still looks cute.

Late night bonfires. Especially when its freezing outside!

And . . . look at all those happy, very tired faces!!!

Beautiful Day

The KOA we camp at is right next to Manresa Beach in Santa Cruz and we always head over there for a day. It was PERFECT weather this weekend. Not too hot, not too cold. Everyone had a blast in the sand for a good long while. The best part for me was that my sweet hubs dug a nice round hole in the sand and I got to have a nap on my belly. It. was. heaven!!!

I love this one!

How come kids can't tell the difference between nice water and frigid water?

I love this one too

I hope we spend a lot of time at the beach this summer
