Camping at the property

This was the morning we all split to come home.
The whole group

Some of the families left Sunday morning to come home for church (whatever!),
while some of us stayed. This rattlesnake tried to sneak
out of the wood pile undetected, but Jesse and Tanner took some
shovels to it and beheaded (and be rattled) it.

Bryson is in the awkward stage of being too old for the little kids and too young for the big kids.
Fortunately Mikaela was nice enough to let him hang out with her all weekend,
which caused some teasing on the part of his younger sister.

These two little munchkins found a common bond in food. Addi could often be found helping
Sketty clean his tray.

The Ranger was fun for everyone and the big boys (dads) liked any excuse to go for rides

Whats a camping trip without a game of whiffle ball?  Dads against sons . . . heavily uneven.

This is where the ladies (and babies) hung out all weekend

I think Brando would steal my baby if I weren't looking

Poor Clarky just wanted to get up on the tramp soooo bad, all weekend

 What pretty little girls

Croquet, ladder ball, trampoling, water slide (unpictured), whiffle ball . . . .
what didn't we play?

Oh Jero!

Sweet Sketty Update 9 months

Here's what Stetson did for 9 months:
*learned to crawl on hands and knees right at 9 months
*started sleeping through the night again (YAY!)
*learned to shriek with an ear-piercing pitch (thank you older siblings)
*got his 8th tooth (and hopefully the last for quite a while)
*weighs about 22 lbs. still
*walks around furniture
*walks with a walker
*gives fake/courtesy laughs
*fell in love with PB&J's
*tried his first heavenly drink of soda (and LOVED it)
*learned to drink from a straw
*became addicted to Muddy Buddies and red licorice
*took his first plane ride and trip with mom and dad
        *first camping trip

At Red Rock National Park in Vegas
It was HOT and BRIGHT

Sweet little boy fell asleep with Dad watching some baseball

Sketty pulling up 2

Part 2 of the pre-crawling/pulling up stage

Sketty Pulling himself up

This is a little old because, like everything else, I'm a little behind schedule right now.

He's Gonna give me Grey Hair

He doesn't even know how to swim, yet he's comfortable doing flips off the diving board.
I am amazed that he makes it through the day without serious injuries.

Memorial Day at Santa Cruz

We went down to Santa Cruz for our annual Memorial Day camping trip with Tanner's family. We had great weather, although it did rain one night. I was fun to get out and enjoy a relaxing break, and gear up for a great summer.

I taught Sueanne how to french braid.
All my kids are so excited everytime Stetson wakes up. They always rush to him and smother him with hugs and kisses. This is Sketty waking up in the tent trailer and Bryson giving him some love.

When we went to pick strawberries Stetson was more than relaxed in the stroller. Oh he's so cute, I can't ever get enough of him.

We played a game of whiffle baseball on the big lawn in front of the campground. Some of the family members get really intense while playing games. Wonder where they get that!

Bryson thought he could really block Scott from touching the plate.

Jill's more of a lover than a fighter-sports really aren't her thing. But she's a good sport and gets out there anyway.

I love these shots of Cade. He's such a funny/cute kid.

Payge looks a little prissy up to bat with her toes out like that :)

Hudson felt the need to slide into each base . . . just in case.

Camping naps are the best

I love having Jill and Hailey around because I hardly ever have to watch my kids

And I love being at the beach because my boys are completely happy digging for hours on end

After the initial reaction he was completely in love with the sand and would sprawl out in it.

I used to love laying on the sand for hours. I still love it, I just don't get to do it

Tanner thought he could teach B how to skim board . . . . .

After a few tries it was apparent that 20+ years will take a toll on your
skim boarding skills. So they bagged that and got out the boogie board instead.

Hudson is still a little aggressive with his loves but somehow Sketty loves it
