about a boy...

This was my conversation with my four year old daughter today:

Mom it looks like we need to clean the toilets again.
Didn't we just clean the bathrooms?
Yeah but the boys are so messy when they pee, it gets all over the place!
Those boys.
Well if their pee-er wasn't so wiggly they wouldn't make such a mess. Good thing I don't have one of those.

This is similar to a few years ago when my niece's were watching me change Bryson's diaper and they thought something was wrong with him because his vagina looked funny. Can you tell they don't have brothers?!

first snow

This morning we woke up to...

I plowed (and by plow I mean back-breaking shoveling) for an hour and a half until I was sweating icicles only to come out an hour later and it was completely covered again. It hasn't stopped all day.
cute little snot-nosed snow bunny

Naked parties

its 25 degrees outside. 75 mph winds. snow everywhere and this kid wants to rock the house in his birthday suit.

everynight he sits in his cage yelling "I poopy". No you're not. "Ummm, I pee?" No you didn't. "YESSSS! I wet. I WET mom!" So I go in there and he's nak-ED. After 3 rounds of this I tape him up with duct tape.

Sundays are HARD. 5 o'clock rolls around and he just can't do it anymore.

Peace and Quiet

How come my peaceful, relaxing baths always turn into this...

(that's not pee-water, it was a nice oatmeal soak until the whole fam-damily joined me)

And anytime I lay on the floor this little load wants me to scratch his belly

PeeWee Rodeo

After Thanksgiving we took the kids to Oakdale for a Junior/PeeWee Rodeo. It was fun to see a lot of the grandkids participating, some with smiles, some with tears.

Playing on all the bleachers was the highlight of the day for this one
I AM his mother but I have to say this is the face of an angel
Brynn was the first one called up. As she rounded the barrel the pony bucked and poked her in the eye so she stopped at the end. We were all hollering for her to run back to us and she just burst into tears. It breaks my heart to see my children get embarrassed at things and I instantly welled up. Its times like this that I wish I could just put a magic cloak around them and hide them away.
For a kid who is always fast, no matter what he's doing, he sure took his sweet time mosying down to the barrel and back.
See, you can tell he's mischief. Look at that beautiful face!
Setting the bar pretty high - he takes it serious
Is that a look of BOREDOM?!!
Still embarrassed possibly?
Daddy trying to explain all you have to do is run to the goat and grab the ribbon, then come back
Not sure why he's crying - he probably thought he was getting the goat, not the ribbon
And the winner is.... BRYSON (again) This time it was spurs and another buckle. Not bad for a $6 entry fee.

Thanksgiving

Tuesday night the Webers crashed at our house to knock off a few hours of their drive to Utah. My kids are all about slumber parties.
Someone had to introduce this kid to olives since his mother's a HATE-ah. He's a big fan now
...and so is he
These are Butterfly Kisses from Aunt Becky
My little princess will only ride the pony if someone else is over
Thank heavens for all the toys at Grandpa's house
Take a close look at that serious Frenchin' going on. EEE-YOO!
Now that we all have babies we have a lot more in common. Maybe I'll wait till they catch up to me in numbers:)
The warm fire place was the only thing Maximus would stop for.

This kid picks up on everything so fast. He just hopped on the electric scooter and took off like he was born on it.
