Out of curiosity I decided to time my little sweet

to see how long she could go without

saying a word. 

The longest she went was a whole 12 seconds.

I've been waiting for her to get hoarse but it doesn't seem

to be happening.

Even when I tell her she needs to rest her voice 

she says "well it doesn't feel tired". 

That's when I pop in a movie in the bedroom and walk out.

It's that time again!!!

This week I plan on doing a lot of this. . .

. . . which usually means I get to do even more of this. . .

Actually our first day was AWESOME!!!  Huddy went the whole day without a single accident.  One time I even found him stripping down and heading down the potty all by himself.  Maybe I'll get lucky and he will be an easy potty-trainer :-)  Come on, let him be easy for something!!!

Poor sweet Emily had the flu on their wedding day and squeaked by with a few trips to the bathroom during the ceremony. She's feeling better now and hopefully they got enough pictures of their AWESOME day. If not I say dress up again and have a do-over. . . at least for pictures.

Dotty Dadder Date . . .

Similar  (in fact nearly identical) to the Daddy Daughter Date you may have heard of.  Call it whatever you want but when you're 4 its the highlight of the year.  Brynn started planning about a week in advance. She originally wanted to hop on a plane and go somewhere but when Tanner told her we don't roll like that she left the planning up to him. Besides, she was way too busy planning her outfit and her makeup for the night. Next time we're just gonna have to spring it on her because all I heard about day and night was how long it was taking for her date night to get here.  Can you imagine what she's gonna be like when she's 16?!?  They ended up going to Red Robin, then to Boomtown for some 3-D rides, then to Scheels for the indoor Ferris Wheel.  She can't wait to do it again "every night from now on".  Keep dreamin' sister!

Houston. . . .we have a Reader!!

This is such an exciting time for me, watching my son grasping this whole new world that is opening up on a page in front of him.  This week Bryson read 5 books all by himself.  They are just the BOB books series but its a start. At first I thought he was just figuring out the words by memorizing the pictures, so I covered the pictures and VOILA!!! He still read the book. It's so fun for us now. I love to read and it was always a strong point for me in school, as I hope it will be for him. I'm so excited to see him growing and learning so much. He's come a long way--a year ago I thought I'd failed him as a mother because as a 5-yr old he only know the 6 letters in his name.  He also told us all about mammals vs. reptiles. And he informed me that a long time ago black people weren't allowed to be in the same buildings as white people . . . so, I guess they had a lesson on civil rights too. Kindergarten can be interesting.

Transformers Gallore!!!

I'm so glad Bryson finally has some good little buddies. For his first REAL party we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese and had a blast.

When Bryson saw the Transformers invitations at the store we just HAD to go with that theme. So here's the cake I whipped up and the boys at Chuck E. Cheese's.
